Messaging your host or renter
Communicate safely and effectively through Ridee's in-app messaging
Clear communication helps create smooth, stress-free experiences for both hosts and renters. Ridee's in-app messaging makes it easy to connect directly, share updates and confirm trip details before, during, and after your ride.
How to Message Your Host
You can message your host right from your Trips dashboard in the Ridee app or website.
- Go to "My Trips"
- Select the trip you want to view
- Tap or click "Message Host" or "Message Renter"
You can send messages anytime, even before confirming your booking, to ask questions, clarify pickup details or confirm availability.
What You Can Message About
- Pickup and return location details
- Questions about the vehicle (fuel type, transmission, etc.)
- Requests for extras or add-ons (like a phone charger or child seat)
- Early or late drop-off arrangements
- Assistance during the trip (breakdown, directions, etc.)
- Courtesy messages, for example, letting the other party know you're running late
Keep Conversations on Ridee
For your safety and record protection, always communicate within the Ridee platform.
Avoid sharing personal contact details and never send payments or deposits outside Ridee.
Ridee's in-app chat keeps your communication secure, verifiable and accessible to our support team in case an issue arises.
