Welcome to Ridee, operated by Ridee.ai LLC ("Ridee", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ridee, our peer-to-peer car rental platform, website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license to use the Services.
• You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and keep your account updated.
• Use of the Services is prohibited where restricted by law.
• By using Ridee, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements and agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Account Registration and Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as necessary.
• Ridee may use AI-powered features to assist with account verification, support, and fraud detection.

3. Use of the Platform

• Ridee connects vehicle owners ("hosts") and renters ("guests") for car rentals.
• All users must comply with applicable laws, regulations, and Ridee policies, including our Community Guidelines and Safety Standards.
• Prohibited conduct includes: fraud, abuse, harassment, discrimination, misuse of the platform, and any activity that endangers the safety or privacy of others.
• AI-powered features, such as chat and booking assistance, are provided to enhance your experience. You agree to use these features responsibly and not to abuse or attempt to circumvent them.

4. Bookings, Payments, and Insurance

• All bookings are subject to availability, host approval, and verification of eligibility.
• Payments are processed securely via third-party providers. You agree to pay all applicable fees, taxes, and charges.
• Cancellation, refund, and fee policies are detailed in our Cancellation Policy and may be updated from time to time.
• Every trip on Ridee is insured through our insurance partners. You agree to provide accurate information for insurance purposes and to comply with all insurance requirements.
• Insurance coverage details, exclusions, and claims processes are provided during booking and in your account dashboard.

5. Vehicle Use, Safety, and Location Tracking

• Guests must return vehicles in the same condition as received, subject to normal wear and tear, and comply with all applicable traffic laws.
• Hosts must ensure vehicles are safe, insured, well-maintained, and meet all legal requirements.
• Both parties must promptly report accidents, damage, or violations to Ridee and, if required, to law enforcement and insurance partners.
• Real-time background location tracking is required during rentals to ensure the safety of users and vehicles, assist in recovery in case of emergencies, and comply with insurance and legal requirements.
• By using Ridee, you consent to the collection and use of real-time location data as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Insurance and Protection

Ridee partners with leading insurance providers to ensure every trip is covered. Insurance coverage is mandatory for all rentals. Coverage details, exclusions, and user obligations are provided during booking and in your account dashboard. You agree to cooperate fully in the event of a claim or investigation.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

• Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• Ridee does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information or AI-powered features provided through the platform.
• Ridee is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, data, or profits.
• Our total liability is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid to Ridee in the past 12 months, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ridee.ai LLC, its affiliates, insurance partners, and technology providers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or misuse of AI-powered features or location tracking.

9. Termination and Suspension

• We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, applicable law, or for safety and security reasons.
• You may close your account at any time via your profile settings. Certain data may be retained as required by law or insurance partners.
• Termination does not relieve you of any obligations incurred prior to termination, including payment of fees or cooperation with insurance claims.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or small claims court, unless prohibited by law. You waive the right to participate in class actions. Disputes related to insurance claims may be subject to additional procedures as required by our insurance partners.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Terms on our website, updating the effective date, and, where required, providing direct notice to you.
