How Ridee Keeps Your Payments Secure
- All payments are processed through encrypted, PCI-compliant gateways to ensure your personal and financial information is protected
- Ridee never stores your full card details; sensitive data is tokenized and managed securely by our payment partners
- Transactions can only be completed within the Ridee platform—never send payments directly to a host
Fraud Detection & Account Protection
- Ridee continuously monitors accounts and transactions for unusual patterns or behaviors that may indicate fraud
- If suspicious activity is detected, we'll temporarily freeze the account, notify you and request verification before reactivation
- To prevent unauthorized use, always use a strong password, enable two-factor authentication and avoid sharing your login details with anyone
Identity Verification
- Before your first trip, we may require additional verification (such as ID photos or selfies) to confirm your identity
- This helps ensure that every guest and host on the platform is genuine and accountable
Spotting and Avoiding Scams
- Never agree to pay outside the Ridee app or website—this violates our Terms of Service and removes your eligibility for protection
- Be cautious of offers that seem too good to be true, requests for off-platform communication, or pressure to make quick payments
- Report any suspicious messages or listings immediately through the app
Refunds and Chargebacks
- If you notice an unauthorized charge on your account, contact Ridee Support right away. We'll investigate and help you recover any valid claims
- Refunds for legitimate cancellations or disputes are always processed directly to your original payment method, never via third parties
